Durable Sheers on my review.

These are heavy-duty trauma sheers. We haven't used them for heavy-duty trauma, but I'm sure they'd do the trick. We use them mostly now for our own first aid kit, which has seen its fair share of at-home injuries.

Pros
  • Perfect for emergency responders
Cons
  • Too bulky to carry around

Great pair of Trauma Shears

These are so great, the cutting power is amazing and the are super light weight. Went right into our First Aid kit to always be available when needed.

Pros
  • Ideal for use in the field
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with gloves on

Just what I was expecting, but not for their intended use

I bought these to replace an old set of trauma shears (advertised on TV many years ago as "miracle scissors") that kept getting misplaced. I use them for various cutting tasks around the house, where one's better paper-cutting scissors would be ill-suited or ruin those blades, and I can recommend them highly in that regard. They work wonderfully for everything for which I've needed them. It should be noted that the pivot will be a bit tight until they've had a little bit of breaking in time and

Pros
  • No need for multiple tools
Cons
  • Cannot be used for self-defense

Just what I was looking for!

I actually use these scissors to cut the tape bandages that support my broken toe on my left foot. I was having a hard time using regular scissors to get through them, looked on ebay, and these were one of the first that popped up and good reviews. They are very well made and make cutting so much easier!

Pros
  • Provides excellent grip control
Cons
  • Too long to fit in some cases

Saved a Vet Visit: my feedback

My daughter's roomie just 'inherited" the family cat-- for some insane reason the cat has a flea collar (?) that was put on like a zip tie supposedly by a vet 4 years ago. It makes no sense to me at all. AT ALL. So daughter calls me cause they can't get it off and she's tried scissors but the collar is thick and she's afraid of hurting the cat. Options are medical scissors or vet visit. Since I'm the ebay Queen off i go to search and since this collar is thick and evil and these shears say they

Good Quality, Good Buy

Product shipped on time, and the seller was very respectful, with a safe-minded goal in providing buyers with first aid information, along with the shears. It is everyone's responsibility to understand basic first aid at a minimum. With understanding first aid, we should have the tools to succeed. Will buy again from this seller, and I would recommend her to anyone.

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of infection
Cons
  • May cause discomfort with extended use

new trauma scissors.

I wrote an old review. I wasn't truly happy. The founders made it right! I received a new pair of trauma scissors in the mail with a postcard explaining/apologizing for the old ones! I so appreciate this. I'm gonna take these to work and do some cutting on that gauze wrap!. THANK-YOU So much for making things better/right! I truly respect people when they understand that there was a fault with their product. I will gladly spread the word! It's so nice to know that they had my back, i didn't…

Pros
  • Allows for quick and accurate bandage cuts
Cons
  • Too heavy for everyday carry

Strong, yet afforadable shears.

These medical shears seem (haven't needed to use them as yet.thankfully) to be sturdy and sharp enough to perform in the field in tasks related to medical emergencies. Glad to have them in my trauma kit.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use for extended periods
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with thicker gloves

Well made shears that are easy to use

As with most ebay items the quality is as expected and most of the sellers are very responsive, but I have to say these Surviveware shears are better than expected. They are well made and very strong. The grip is smooth and I get the feeling that I will be using mine for years to come. I had to use mine this weekend when I cut my hand while prepping meat and it easily cut the bandages. I will update my review if anything changes but for now I’m really happy.

Pros
  • Surviveware
Cons
  • Not durable - may break under pressure

Great scissors for my opinion

I bought these scissors for clinicals in nursing school, they are great for what I use them for! I’ve gotten many compliments and questions on where I bought them from by nurses. My only complaint is that they get stuck sometimes and I have to tug pretty hard to open them.

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • Too long for some tasks

Great shears! in my review

i bought these to replace the ones that I had in my first aid kit. The finger holes are large and very comfortable. Super sharp and easily cut through the toughest fabrics and bandages. I recently used them to remove a full leg, gauze wrapped bandage with no problem at all.

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of injury
Cons
  • May pinch fingers

Very sharp for my opinion

They are very sharp, easy to handle, and sized to provide good leverage for cutting even thick clothing. I am very pleased with them.

Pros
  • JAPANESE STAINLESS-STEEL BLADES Strong blades are crucial in an emergency. These shears have 3 advantages: Patented Japanese steel blades ensure razor-like sharpness, a protective fluoride coating prevents adhesives from sticking to the blades, and thirdly, the milled serrations etched into the blades allow for effortless cutting.
Cons
  • Grip is slippery when wet

Affordable Trauma Shears

Bought these to replace an old pair that had given up. So far, they are a good pair of scissors that haven't let me down, but I don't use them consistently or in trauma situations as the might be needed by others. But for what I use them for, they are a good buy and worth the money.

Pros
  • Great product!
Cons
  • Not suitable for precision cuts

Cuts like a hot knife through butter

So I bought these shears to add to my first aid pack. These shears are super light weight, but don’t discourage you, they are built very well with just the right amount of thickness. As you can tell from my pictures they will cut though some material! They cut through 20 pieces of stock paper with ease. The Gatorade bottle was not an issue either, and the lid was like cutting through butter! Where you are looking for the perfect shear to add to your survival gear or first aid pack, or someone…

Pros
  • Can quickly sever clothing to access injuries
Cons
  • May rust in humid environments

Utility set of shears

Great set of shears. I don't use them much. Rather, I keep them in my kitchen utility drawer. So far they do the job and seem will be sturdy & last a long time.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Hard to open and close

Precision tool. best in my review

I am in awe of the performance, they are without a doubt the best medical grade shears I've owned. They are the perfect fit to my field medical bag.

Pros
  • Can be carried in a pocket
Cons
  • May cause accidental injuries

Great tool to have in my review

These shears are great, I would recommend them to anyone. My little boy has special needs and they come in really handy to cut surgical tape or packs of stuff he needs, I also use them in the plants as a rigger to cut zip-ties or fire blanket and never have to worry if they will be sturdy enough or sharp enough.

Pros
  • Essential for emergency room settings
Cons
  • May cause hand fatigue

Excellent product! - my new review

The trauma shears are light, comfortable to grip and very sharp! I have in the past used shears that will NOT cut through a bandage. These are wonderful - almost no effort to use! They are durable and a very good addition to my first aid/trauma kit.Excellent product all around!

Pros
  • Rust-resistant
Cons
  • May not cut through thick bandages easily
