Useless RV Sealer: Don't Waste Money!

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can easily say that this RV sealer is a total waste of money. While it claims to be a microsealant, it doesn't provide enough protection against water and leaks. The application process is also a nightmare, as it doesn't spread evenly and leaves clumps.

Pros
  • None.
Cons
  • Doesn't work, difficult to apply.

YOU MUST USE THIS PRODUCT!

I've been using this for years. 8 years ago I sealed the seams of my aluminum insulating roof. I took a 4 inch roll, cut it in half and used two inches for this purpose. Recently and ONLY because an area I hadn't sealed in the past started leaking. I sealed the ones that were 4" wide. The original 2" wides I installed 8 years ago were still intact (you really can't take them off once they touch the surface to be sealed) and I was really amazed that the ONLY thing I noticed was a couple of areas

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: Simple and quick 3 step tape instructions with no peels or messy solvents to clean up after the project is complete and no other glue to use
Cons
  • Useless features

the bad news. Also - RV Parts & Accessories

I made two holes in the roof of my RV by breaking through the rubber sheet and digging into the plywood. One was about 8 feet long and the other about 6 feet. I also had holes along the rounded edge of the roof. Yes, bad news. Also, I did it on my very first trip with a brand new RV. I considered dousing it with gas, setting it on fire, collecting the insurance money and returning to the campsite, but instead I did a lot of research and decided to try Eternabond WebSeal to fix it. Spoiler: Itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • MULTIPURPOSE: Ideal for use on metal structures, trailer/RV roofs and sides, drip pans, drain pipes, boats, canoes. Adheres to a wide variety of surfaces including roofing materials such as EPDM, TPO, Hypalon, aluminum, galvanized steel, wood and fiberglass.
