This product works SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than what I was using when I had to turn the knob. Turning this knob is painful and difficult. It slides between the pads and works like a ratchet. LOVE IS. BUT THAT.

Used a few times and works great! Sincerely grateful it comes with extended/longer pads. We have full size trucks, mid-size trucks, and SUVs so I could use it on any of our vehicles. It's worth getting, and it's coming from someone who's basically buying a specific brand of tools.

I do not understand as I have never had before. This is the easiest way to press calipers, and it makes me wonder why I didn't buy one 10 years ago, er, decades ago, to be precise. Maybe they didn't have them decades ago, but I wish they had because that step of changing the brakes took me ages. I used a C-clamp to press in the calipers and my calipers were an odd shape and I couldn't find a good flat spot on the back of the calipers to clamp them in place. I received the item today and wanted to test it. I've tried adding overlays with a larger area to the tool. The pins are aligned but the magnets don't work, the plates don't even stick a little to the tool. The magnets are mounted on the wrong side of the panel and have very little holding power as the pads come from the back to the front of the box to fit everything. This item is being returned as adapters are useless if they don't even hold up when trying to put pressure on the caliper…

This has made my brake job a lot easier. I have aftermarket 4-piston calipers and using two calipers and two steel plates was impractical. This tool fits in and does what it's supposed to. If you have well painted calipers, another pair of hands or a towel clean of debris will help keep the caliper from hitting anything as it takes some effort to start squeezing the pistons. This item can make your brake work a lot easier. But that's not the case. Whoever came up with this idea had the right thoughts and potentially made them the winner. However, the ratchet mechanism fails all too often. It's so simple that abusing this mechanism is a bit of a headache. once it actually worked. So it might work, but it's unreliable. I would suggest giving this to a German toolmaker who charges a fortune but gets it right. Otherwise, people can get stuck in the middle of working on
