Secure Your Stuff with this Handy Tool!

This butterfly latch is a great addition to your tools and home improvement arsenal. Through trial and error, I found that it was perfect for locking up my cabinets and keeping curious little ones out. The spring-loaded mechanism is easy to use and the padlockable feature adds an extra layer of security. However, the latch is made of plastic and may not hold up to heavy use. Overall, a great investment for keeping your stuff safe!

Pros
  • Secure, easy to use, padlockable
Cons
  • Made of plastic and may not hold up to heavy use.

Locked and Loaded! on latches

These work great for locking a pair of sturdy plywood boxes I made for heavy equipment. I love that they are lockable, it adds a layer of utility. I would buy them again.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Appearance

Does what it's supposed to do

No clasps of this type are particularly easy to assemble, simply because alignment and spacing between clasp and clasp must be precise. So it's not a knock on this latch. Otherwise it does what it should. I wish there was a little more room for a heavier locking screw, but no complaints.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
