Doesn't hold up well for heat lamps

For the price we're paying for this bulb, it won't last very long. I'm buying two and one has already burned out and it hasn't even been a month since I bought them.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

So far, so good! good for terrarium heat lamps and mats

One of the few lamps I could find that has both UV and heat properties. So far our turtle loves it. It is important to note that this light will not turn on for a while after it has been turned off. You should let it cool down for about 15 minutes. I was a little confused at first as I thought the bulb burned out after the first use!

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • So far so good

Broke for Turtle two days after purchase. Sad because the vet recommends this brand and I would prefer to use it for all my cold sores and they are generally considered good quality and good value. I'm wondering if there was a problem with the dome light I was using this in? I would recommend buying a dome made for a lightbulb - don't repeat my mistake.

Pros
  • , handy item
Cons
  • Fits

Since these are mercury bulbs, they can turn off and on again if you hit them while you're working. It is in order. I don't turn them on until they're in place and operational, and I have no problem with them flickering during the day. I turn them off at night before placing them on top of an Exo Terra night light and a…
