Ideal performance for reptile enclosures!

This product heats the reptile box sufficiently when using the thermostat regulator, but at maximum power it doesn't get very hot (in case something goes wrong). It is extremely thin, unlike other bulky Nicrom wire pads.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • For old

Great thermal pad!

Great rug! Ordered for my corn snake under her Exoterra terrarium. The temp stays at a consistent level (yes, I'm one of those owners who have a thermal gun and check the temp daily). I have had other heater mats before and none compare to this one.

Pros
  • Perfect fit for me
Cons
  • Not all fit

Best heat mat brand on the market

After trying several competing brands I chose Exo Terra for all my aquariums - they seem to have better adhesion and better heat transfer due to the thin material . Many other brands have a thick PVC jacket on both sides which reduces heat transfer from the mat to the tank, which is the general idea here. So far I have not seen any defects, only seven Exo Terra carpets.

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • May damage

Works great with my box turtle and ball python thermostats.

I have two box turtles (in two separate tanks) so I bought two. I also have a ball python that I recently bought one of these heaters for. I use each of these with thermostats and they work great! They are very thin and the side opposite the heating side practically does not heat up, while the heating side facing the glass heats up perfectly. Super easy to install, too. Love her. will buy again.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • No

Eight geckos will appreciate this

I have quite a few geckos and have used another brand of heater mats which fall off the tank very easily. I bought one of these but at first I was worried about it. It was so much better than the mats I had that I am working on replacing the ones I had before. I still use aluminum tape to hold them in place like I did with the old ones - just in case - but the glue on them is great and they heat up really well and evenly.

Pros
  • large selection
Cons
  • nothing here

Cannot be reused in a terrarium Terrarium Heater Lamps and Mats

This mat takes longer to heat up than the ones I bought but it works. I used a heat gun to control the temperature and it took me half an hour to heat up to a stable 95 degrees Fahrenheit. I didn't wait any longer as that's the max temperature I need for my leopard gecko, but it's probably hotter than that. ALWAYS USE THE THERMOSTAT! iPower is inexpensive and works well. I chose this brand because of the size, most other brands are 8" x 6" which is too small for a 10 gallon tank (the heat matโ€ฆ

  • Acceptable
