Easy to install Suitable for outdoor accessories

Super Super fast shipping. It's perfect for my glove like this one. Very easy to install and the instructions were clear. This sealed my tailgate under my cover. Been through a wash and no leaks. And the delivery is great. After a month of use, no leaks in my bed from the trunk of the trunk. The bed is now waterproof

Good product - bad all rounder

If you have a 5th generation (2019+) Ranger this is not the best tailgate sealing solution. The space underneath is too big to work well. Installation was fairly easy, the gasket is easy to manipulate and contour. I give the product 5 stars overall but only 4 stars as it didn't work as a 'universal fit' when I used it in the 2019 Ranger.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Glue failed to install successfully.

I have noticed that the adhesive is defective. I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol, waited for it to dry, waited all day for my car to warm up in the garage and once applied there was no holding power. Also, I don't think its thickness is wide enough to cover the tailgate side of my 2017 Silverado 2500. Disappointed - waited too long to apply and have since missed my 14 day return window.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Available in white only

lets no water through! for tarpaulin

I ordered this seal together with the tarpaulin. The sealer arrived first, went ahead and installed it. It started raining heavily and I had to drive with the tailgate down to allow the water to drain away. After the trunk lid was delivered and installed, there wasn't a drop of moisture in our 2016 Tundra Platinum! A friend of mine who recommended a trunk cover we bought didn't have a seal in his truck and got water near the tailgate. Sealing is required to protect against water.

Pros
  • hands-free
Cons
  • minor problems

This Extang product will NEVER fit the tailgate of a Ford F-150 Styleside

This Extang product will NOT seal the tailgate of a 2015 Ford F-150 XL. My truck is the Styleside version, pretty standard. Extang seals the underside of the tailgate, however the sides of this tailgate are too wide at both the top and bottom for this narrow seal to cover the opening. As you can see in the photo, the gap between the rear door and the body of the truck is NOT even, but widens both up and down. There is NO WAY this product can close the hole. In case someone knows a better…

Works with Spray Pad

I bought this for my 2014 Dodge Ram 1500. I also wanted a good product in terms of functionality. I made sure I washed the area well with car soap, then sprayed the brake cleaner onto a clean rag and wiped the area where I was going to apply the adhesive backing. It's been a few weeks and everything looks very good. Once you figure out which direction the seal is going, where and how to position it, it's a fairly easy task. To figure this out, I cut out a 1 inch piece of material and placed it…

Works as long as adhesive lasts

I installed this along with the cover on my 15 Sierra. The bedspread is excellent at keeping water out, with the exception of the back door. Installation was pretty easy. I had to get creative in a few places, but overall it was painless. Once installed I was able to drive through an automatic car wash and the bed stayed completely dry. I recently traveled south and had all my family's luggage in bed. We drove through the monsoon and everything stayed nice and dry. However, I also use my truck,

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • Repair

I am only giving this product three stars because it has given me questionable results. This product is really on the verge of a DIY product. It's a roll of peel and stick door seal that I could probably buy cheaper on a wholesale car site. The customer needs to cut the product to length and then install it at the appropriate height from the bottom of the bed. Additionally, I have the issue that in the triple-digit summer heat, the product sticks to the tailgate better than the peel and stick…

2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain (SLT)

I installed today under the guidance of Extruded Solutions [.] specifically for my 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain. I have a factory spray on the bedspread but it didn't make it difficult to put it where I needed it. Following the instructions I mentioned, I could see the same good, watertight seal inside the bed as in the photos. We had a little rain today just a few hours after installation and there was absolutely no moisture in the bed but it was just a little rain. I'll update this later when…
