I bought this broom to replace our old Libman broom which does not have a windproof cover. Our family bought several dustpans and a set of brushes, a dust broom, an outdoor broom, a garage broom, which are necessary for a dormitory. Easy to assemble, strong, very effective in removing hair from the end of the broom. I finally ordered this one because I had such trouble with different stick brooms. They either pick up the fur and it gets stuck, or the fur swims away. It really helps me collect fur quickly and easily. I bought this broom to use in the hallway (with carpet) to pick up little notes left by my students. It's lightweight and very durable. You can leave the shovel to stand up for your own strikes. The comb at the end of the shovel is wonderful. I don't have to bend down or touch the broom if something gets stuck at the end. I have to sweep my greenhouse all the time as my cat loves to run around there and as she is completely white I can clearly see how much Dirt got on their fur and I was tired of going for the next broom and dust pan. This is the best set of brooms and dustpans I have ever bought. We have 4 left. Two of these are lightweight, have the same patterns on the handles, are cheap, and are from different suppliers. The brushes are too narrow, so you have to sweep more. The construction of both is weak and the handles of both fell off.
