These are the best garlands I've tried. They were easy to install and the remote control was a clutch. The dimmer helps too. My daughter likes the light ones but I can turn them off when she's sleeping without having to go to her room and maybe wake her. A rope was enough to build a canopy for her and run around the floor of the upper bunk.

I decided to try and find a replacement, but when I received the replacement and pocketed it, it was broken too. I like these: they connect, have copper wires, have a multi-function remote control, can be connected to other wires. However, I ordered 5 sets of 66ft lights and 3 out of 5 had broken wires. Good first - I was able to connect these strings with my old connector strings (another brand) and it worked. Even better, they came out brighter than the original transformer. In the photo you can see the difference - the bottom of the stairs with a transformer is sold under this brand; another part of the stairs with an old transformer. I've bought them twice. When I first got it they were easy to hang up and put down, but the remote was inconsistent as to whether it would work or not. As I was planning on just keeping them around the apartment and didn't want to use any other settings, I bought another set to put in my living room.
