Hair turns grey/silver and yes it does lighten up a bit (not quite) after a wash, but if you do some research, gray is very difficult to maintain and requires regular toning. I love her so much. I received a hands-on package and immediately ordered a second one. So that's a pack on my hair and I washed it while it was on my head. So they hold up and look great with no band sticking out so I added a photo of my head from the side. They are so soft too. It helps increase my confidence.
