I have an Ellipsis Jetpack Verizon Access Point and I had to extend the antenna outside to get a better signal and it was the connecting cable between the antenna and the jetpack. That did it!

Here are the best things. I have used some of the cheap pigtails and they have always been loose and unreliable on the TS9 connector and fall off easily. These cables are about three times more expensive than the cheap ones, but you absolutely get what you pay for. I have never seen such durable TS9 connectors. No more worrying about it falling out!
