Don't waste your money on this or you'll lose even more money looking for books. I don't know much about scanning but this is the second time I've been using this scanner and it broke midway through scanning some good deals. I am writing this directly from the Goodwill Store. Worked well with my PC, wired and wireless, although the wireless connection was a bit fiddly at first. Worked with my Android phone. For those who have a phone, spending money on something you already have is foolish. However, if you're old school and insist on using a clamshell phone these days, or want to use your computer, this little device will do the trick.

I have a full sized eyoyo1D scanner and it's pretty good. Its accuracy is good and it will loosen up from time to time and then recover but I thought this little scanner would be perfect because it's so small and portable but it doesn't scan barcodes accurately. You have to place it at a certain angle and it takes longer to scan things than previous scanners. Honestly I'm very dissatisfied and will most likely return it.

The communication range never came close to the declared 30 - 50 meters. At best, I managed 4 meters without any problems. I had to return as it would not meet my storage needs. The first thing I liked was the packaging. Very well packaged and organized. Everything was easy to find. The guide is well written and contains everything you need to use the scanner comfortably. It connects very easily after you just need to press and hold the bottom for 8 seconds.
