Doesn't work on my truck

This didn't work on my 2000 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3L V8 due to the shape of the oil pan. The drain hole is countersunk, not allowing the valve to twist to screw in. The rest seems to be a quality thing, but unfortunately didn't suit me.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

REDUCING OIL CHANGES TO A FEW MINUTES

This thing is very slippery. I can flip the switch and do something else around the house. Come back. We put in a new filter, fill in fresh oil and after 5 minutes of actual work it's done. No jacks, ramps, creepers, wrenches, a chance to rip my strings, no paper towels anywhere, or nitrile gloves. This is a slightly better design than the other brass. I have this on all my cars.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I'll add later

Oil change is cleaner but slower

Installed on my 2012 Chevy Colorado with 2.9L I-4 engine. Makes oil changes cleaner and more controllable, but the valve restricts flow. Make sure the oil is really hot before draining to get the best flow. The valve seals well when closed, opens easily and stays in place once installed (with recommended torque). Changing your own oil is an amazing thing. If you take your car for a 10 minute oil change, don't install it. they will hate you

Pros
  • Easy tune
Cons
  • New competition is here

Good product, good for tools and gear

Hello, I was at a machine shop for an oil change. I had it put on and so far it has worked well with no leaks. That makes changing the oil a lot easier. Filled with high quality oil and a good filter. I don't have to worry about what's going on in the garage where I can't see what oil was put in. I have a 2012 Chevy Equinox. I didn't know it had an oil problem. The oil must be changed as soon as the car computer indicates. I took it to the shops and gave them the good quality oil I bought plus…

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Some bugs

Quality product with an issue

Product looks and feels quality. The lever is securely locked in the closed position, yet easy to operate with just one finger. I deducted a star because there was no bevel at the end, so it was very difficult to install it in the oil pan without a transverse thread. I even checked it against an oil plug a couple of times to make sure the threads are correct. Eventually I started doing it and from then on everything was easy. I hope I never have to do this again so it was a minor annoyance.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Replaceable

Very easy and clean oil change!

A wonderful unit for my 2013 5.3L Suburban. Previously, the oil would leak quickly and often spill over the tub (that's my fault for not calculating tub placement) and often fall on the crossbars. After installation I have a predictable flow going straight down. Runs a little slower, a little less chaotic. You can extend the draining time by 2-3 minutes. I also bought an extra screw on the lid and a padlock for extra security. Never had a problem. While the liquid drains, I spend extra time…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Installed on my GM SUVs and very satisfied! Put the SUV on stands

Installed on my GM SUVs and couldn't be happier! We put the SUV on stands, lower it under it, connect a translucent hose (cut off) to the outlet of the drain valve - lower the other end into the oil catcher and open the valve. Hot engine - not a problem as I can wear gloves to move the lever. No more burning hands, no more drain plugs hiding in an oil vat, no more squirting hot oil or the oil sump moving around when the outlet pressure changes, or my personal favorite, no more hot oil smacking…

Pros
  • Tools and Equipment
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

What matters most is the size/thread of your car's crankcase drain plug.

What I love most about my "EZ-107 EZ Oil Drain Valve with Detachable Combo L-End Hose" (I actually bought the valve with the detachable straight hose end) is the quality and the design of the drain valve. I'm sure it will last the life of my Ford F-150. What I didn't like is that it took me a while to figure out what model of dump valve I needed for my truck. It seems to me that it would be fairly easy for you to provide a list of the models required for each manufacturer's car thread size…

Pros
  • Garage & Shop
Cons
  • Minor Repair

I'm SO tired of the inevitable drips after every oil change due to oil getting into the cross member when draining. '... and there's no way to start slow. Most of the time my machine shop makes changes and they do a great job cleaning up afterwards, but a few of them leaked and dripped within the next day or two! It was also frustrating having to reset the skid plate every time, but the EZ oil drain valve fixed both cases! Final draining mayhem, a valve installed in place of the stock oil plug…

Pros
  • Oil Drain
Cons
  • Communication with Seller
