These lanterns have so many advantages and disadvantages. 1. Plus - well made from not cheap plastic, the headlights have 2 modes - full bright and soft dim light. Make sure it is where you want it before you snap the trim ring as it is VERY difficult to remove once the light is installed. Even when disassembled, getting out is difficult. There is a slight leak around the base as mentioned in other reviews. I think it has to do with the lens cap letting light through like a fiber optic; The lens cap and mounting flange are made of translucent plastic, allowing light to pass through the edge of the lens (the trim ring doesn't fit snugly on the ceiling)…

Overall I like this Facon 5 inch LED fixture. I use it in a dark corner of the house where it is solar powered. (Look at my first photo.) During the day, when the house is light, the sunlight hits the solar panel, which then charges the battery and turns on the lights. I have a light on a timer that currently turns the light off at 6pm. However, in winter the sun sets around 5pm and after 4.30pm there is little to no sun on the solar panel. Very good light but spoiled by poor design to remove the trim ring. I bought this to replace the smaller LED lights in my caravan but the ring fits so snugly on the light that once it snaps in place (after the light is fitted to the ceiling) it cannot be removed without the mounting screws pull out the bracket. Ceiling (you must remove the ring to access the mounting screws). It may be ok if the mount was screwed into hardwood but will not work in soft RV ceiling material. I suppose you could…
