I was looking for a rolling pin with some tape on it to get a constant thickness. This is a great rolling pin for anyone who loves this type of rolling pin, especially for people like me who roll out dough like camping grounds. It saved a life and was a great way to practice skating technique.

Mine has a serrated finish. which would stick to the dough when used. In addition, the barrel is light, hollow and thin to the touch. That's probably why the barrel was notched. I read the reviews after receiving them and noticed that others had problems collecting water in the barrel. I sent it back because of the nicknames but didn't order again because of the running issue.

I've never had a rolling pin that didn't make me hate this one. It's easy to use because the material just doesn't stick to it like it does to wood, so I could focus on getting it even rather than fighting the material sticking to the roller. I usually just avoided cooking anything that needed to be rolled, but now I'm planning to do more things.

I haven't used it yet but I know I will eventually. It has a very good price. When I checked a few months ago, the seller's price on eBay was more than double. And even then, I think it would have shipped from China if I had ordered it from eBay rather than Revain. First I wanted a non-stick rolling pin with adjustable dough thickness. He did both BUT he left ridges in the dough when rolling out a large piece for 11-inch pie crust or strudel. Might be good if you're making small biscuits, but not the best choice for large buns. The box was crushed when it arrived, not the best choice for a gift.

Packaging arrived damaged. It didn't look like it was packaged very well and the handles had holes torn in the sides of the box and were sticking out so they were frayed. It was disappointing. After all the positive reviews I tried this rolling pin. It's beautiful and has measuring wheels if you want to see how thick your dough is rolling out. However, the kicker after just one use: water in the pin. The needle itself can be dishwashed, which I did. I hand washed the small round yards.
