🪚 Enhance Safety and Efficiency with FastCap SAWHOOD WHITE Chop Shop Saw Hood for Woodworking Review

The one I received was NOT wrapped in plastic, nor were the clips or metal spacers. There were no papers or instructions in the kit, despite the video on the fastcap.com website. Here I am informed that I have received a used or returned item. It's like new but I think if you're selling a used or returned item you should let the buyer know and even offer a discounted price. However, it was very easy to put together and I expect it will work. when i use it. If not, I will update this review.

I build a lot of houses and do road work almost every day. The hood works as advertised. The amount of wood dust, MDF dust that accumulates in the tent is quite dramatic. Especially when cutting a 6" baseboard at a 45 degree angle (before I can handle it). I use a quick release clamp to hold the rosette while working with this jigsaw of mine. Overall I am very disappointed with this saw guard. The crate was damaged in transit and there were no instructions on how the support brackets should be assembled or how they work. The hood looked like it had been used as it was quite dirty and the material was lumpy in places. Contrary to the photos, the top didn't look like a pretty tent when assembled. I love using a miter saw, but the amount of sawdust it creates makes it a tedious cleaning process when I'm done cutting. This saw guard is like a big umbrella that wraps around the saw. It comes in a fairly flat large box with minimal instructions. It's not hard to figure out what to do, but there are some small production quality issues. The one I received had light yellow dust combined with graphitic paste stuck everywhere. I should have just returned it on the spot but decided to try the product to see if it was of any value.
