My cat has never had a problem with the carrier and always climbs in on its own but it was too small. Now that I have it, he's in love. My 15 year old is great at carrying. It is tight-fitting but can lie down. My kitty likes it a little more than a 15 year old. I have a halter for my kitten and I can snap it into the carrier and let it stick its head out. The build quality is excellent and in that regard this is by far the best cat backpack I've used out of the four. It is comfortable to wear and feels durable unlike many others. I chose this one because I liked the idea of keeping the top open for my cat to peek out as advertised.
