Not reliable for internal components

Works for a while then disappears. A restart fixes it, but it kinda sucks. Also, if you draw too much current (I'm drawing about 24 watts) strange things will happen. I will not recommend it. Build quality seems excellent but unreliable.

4 true INDEPENDENT channels

Unlike many cards that give you a port or two and then just concentrate other connections, here you get 4 full bandwidth USB channels. Excellent value for money and the best I/O option for your desktop!

Very stable and worth the investment

There are cheaper versions of the USB 3.0 expansion card but they are not as stable as this card. Believe me, this is based on my experience. I bought a cheaper one and have been happy moving a small amount of files and these cards are universal to support both USB 2.0 and 3.0. But when you bulk copy files between or between external hard drives, it fails. This card does not support USB 2.0, but switching between USB 2.0 system ports and 3.0 ports succeeds and exits. I mean stable.

Slight criticism - USB port cards

Many PCI cards are not redesigned unless you pay a big premium, that card is in a unique place. I haven't found another with as many dedicated controllers on board as this one and it's a great buy for older systems. The only downsides aren't too many downsides, but if you want to kill the competition, enable a 20-pin USB-C connector and use a black PCB in the next batch in production, the green one looks pretty ugly and very 90's out. If they made a deluxe card with some extra headers and aโ€ฆ

Works in [unraid][KVM] 6.8.2 when traversing 4 separate IOMMU groups!

It took 3 different cards to finally find one that worked out of the box. Just change the syslinux configuration: add vfio-pci.ids=1912:0015 pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction initrd=/bzroot (your pci id will probably be different). I maxed out my external USB hard drive at 225MB/s, but I'm pretty sure it can run much faster, even in a x1 Gen 3 slot.

Works well with Esxi and Server 12

FS-4C-U8S-Pro - New (2019), PCIe Gen 3, Low Profile, Well Designed (Large Heatsink), Quad Channel USB 3.0 Host Bus Adapter. . The low-profile design dictates horizontal port placement, which some reviewers found problematic when aligned with the case's slot openings. My experience with the Lian-Li server chassis shows that the port connector is tight but fully functional (try connecting the cables before tightening the locking screw). ZERO GAP, and enough hassle with that on Windows 10, I don't know where to start.

1. The only major disqualifying factor in purchasing is resource competition and loss of functionality in other computer USB ports of *any* speed, and I haven't installed it in my 15 gear , trying to hold out for a few more years. Tomahawk MSI B450 for AM4. Before installing this card, the wireless keyboard and mouse, as well as many other USB devices connected at the same time, worked fine with no errors. After installing this map, intermittent mouse movement was frozen and an unresponsiveโ€ฆ

Fast Multichannel USB 3.0. Ideal for external hard drives and high-speed transfers. The perfect complement for a PC that needs more USB ports.
