💡 Energy-Saving Feit Electric R30 CFL Dimmable Floodlight Bulb (15W, Equivalent to 65W) Review

I'm so tired of replacing those damn dimmable CFL lights. That's durability and reliability for you. One didn't work right away, the other buzzed after 2 weeks, which had to be replaced. I was so frustrated that I started phasing out this type of lighting and switched to LED lighting to put an end to this misery.

I have replaced all light bulbs in my house with either CFL or LED. The kitchen has 5 built in spotlights so I bought 6 of these dimmable CFLs to put in there. If I had known what they are like (I should have read the other reviews more closely!) I would have just bought the undimmed CFLs. These bulbs are basically NOT ADJUSTABLE, they dim from 100% to around 80% brightness and then flicker. They also hum quite loudly in each dimming. Advantages of dimmable CFL technology: uses 75% less energy than comparable incandescent lamps. "warm up" to full brightness - incandescent bulbs do not have the same dimming range. Cons of this particular brand: - Noise at all brightness levels - Noise increases at dim levels - Dimming range is significantly less than other brands I've used (they just turn off at a given power level of less than 30%) - More prone to turn on Voltage dips (dips cause the lights to turn off and not turn on again…
