🔒 Fel-Pro 3075 Gasket Material: A Versatile Solution for Sealing Excellence Review

Used when replacing the water pump for the thermostat housing. The OEM paper gasket was thinner than the paper compared to the Fel-Pro 3075 gasket. Using the OEM as a template, traced the outline of the gasket, cut out the center first and made an exact copy only twice the thickness. I have the added convenience of reinforced spacers in my cooling system for very little money. It's worth the extra effort and expense.

Nice and thick, high quality, BIG gasket. Had to seal something with it as I had to disassemble parts after assembly due to torn threads. This material required quite a bit of patience to shape and was too strong to use biscuit molding methods. I ended up tracing the designs (each one is as complex as ****.) and iteratively using a scalpel to cut out the spacers. I then used a Dremel and a sanding wheel to smooth out the cuts. I bought this gasket material to try on the back of my 1974 Cub Cadet 129 as I needed a hydraulic fluid change and a new pre-cut gasket was $16. It was easy enough to cut if you use a sharp blade. It seems to be doing its job well but I'm only giving it 4 stars because the label when it arrived said that this material could be used for water pumps, thermostat housings etc. In other words. , it is used to seal water passages. The description doesn't mention this and I couldn't even find any…
