Fel Pro MS98016T Intake Manifold Gasket Review

Had to send it back as it appeared we had a Dorman intake manifold on our 5.3 liter engine. This engine was bought from a junkyard about 4 years ago and now needed a new camshaft position sensor. We purchased an intake manifold gasket prior to the scheduled work so we would have it on hand when reinstalling the intake manifold. It just didn't fit, and it turned out that instead of two one-piece 4-hole gaskets like in this Felpro gasket kit, we had 8 individual rubber gaskets, one for each hole.

I installed this kit on my 5.3 with 119k on it and of course the pressure port sealing surfaces were uneven/deformed. This gasket kit solved the problem without replacing other extremely expensive parts. I liked the retaining tabs that allow the gaskets to sit properly on the heads instead of the clips that hold the original gaskets to the plenum - I had no alignment issues and the job was smooth and quick. Significantly thicker than the standard gasket on my Chevrolet Silverado Z71 04 5.3L. In many ways, this is the best gasket choice when replacing the stock intake manifold gasket.
