It was hard to find at first, but after watching a few tutorial videos online I got the hang of it. I also mistakenly assumed silicone was needed, but I'm glad I researched it before installing. This is a proprietary pad that works as advertised.

Perfect fit and no problem. The flat part of the gasket is in the valve cover and the chamfered part is on the head. better than standard as they cover a large area when compressed. The only negative about the grommets is that they are installed the wrong way round. The metal part of the grommets should be on top when assembling.

XTerras are known for their valve cover failures. And for that reason, I wouldn't buy anyone else's brand. This rubber gasket solved my problem and came with everything I needed. I am a retired car technician/trainer. I have used FelPro pads my whole life. There is no better product or material for seal repair. Due to the weather, I was not able to install this gasket set.
