Works as described!

Easy to install. Works exactly as described. Stops the engine when the fob is submerged, pressed and more than 75 feet from the boat. Tip: The snap-in connector sizes on existing kill switch wiring may differ from the snap-in connector sizes shipped with the Fell MOB base. Therefore, buy several sizes before installation. You will need at least two males and two females of each size available.

Works exactly as expected!

Gives freedom from idiots every time you get behind the wheel. Don't worry about falling overboard while trolling and watching your boat coast and leave you out in the cold. One thing that could have been better if the device had an ambient light sensor to dim the flash of the "on" indicator light for nighttime use. Another improvement would be that the key fob button would be more rigid or more secure against accidental presses.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Innovation at its best

I find this more secure than a traditional kill switch strap. The boat will not start until you confirm with the fob or remap the radio switch, so make sure you are either wearing the fob or confirm you are not wearing one. This allows you to move freely around the boat at idle and with the engine running without having to plug and unplug the traditional kill switch cable. You can also impress your friends with the fact that you can disconnect the motor from the docking station by simply…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Unsafe

An important safety device must be well documented to provide ease of installation and user safety. FELL Marine failed to meet this simple requirement. If you have twin ships with two stations; It is not so easy to connect the MOB switch properly. Be prepared to rip the existing wiring to gain access to the existing kill switch wiring. You can't install a MOB switch in series or in parallel (near a bus stop) as that would be in parallel with both engine batteries and would cause weird ignition!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great unit and works very well

As a lifelong sailor I have seen many people throw themselves unexpectedly from their boats including myself. Everything is usually fine, but when it's not, people die. If you ever forgot to put on your bracelet, this is the device you need. I am very impressed with the functionality and I think this should be standard on any new boat of any size. With the ignition on, I have to push a button on the key fob to start the boat. It reminds me to make sure the key fob is attached to my body before…

This MOB+ is a product whose time has come. Although kill switches have been installed on new boats over the last 25 years, they are very rarely used as you have to tie yourself to the rudder with a cord. Most try for a while and eventually give up because it hurts so much. I installed mine in under an hour. I pulled out my VOM and started testing the functionality when I pressed xFOB. It reliably broke the firing circuit when the xFOB was out of range or in the water. Thumbs up for the…
