I find this more secure than a traditional kill switch strap. The boat will not start until you confirm with the fob or remap the radio switch, so make sure you are either wearing the fob or confirm you are not wearing one. This allows you to move freely around the boat at idle and with the engine running without having to plug and unplug the traditional kill switch cable. An important safety device must be well documented to provide ease of installation and user safety. FELL Marine failed to meet this simple requirement. If you have twin ships with two stations; It is not so easy to connect the MOB switch properly. Be prepared to rip the existing wiring to gain access to the existing kill switch wiring. You can't install a MOB switch in series or in parallel (near a bus stop) as that would be in parallel with both engine batteries and would cause weird ignition!

This MOB+ is a product whose time has come. Although kill switches have been installed on new boats over the last 25 years, they are very rarely used as you have to tie yourself to the rudder with a cord.
