💧 Enhanced Water Filtration: Pressure Regulator Filter Protector with 1/4 Quick Connect (70 psi) Review

My house is getting a 100 psi pressure which is making my water filter make crazy noises. The filter has a maximum inlet pressure of 80psi. Installing this controller took only 30 seconds. I just turned off the water, blew out the filter, cut off the inlet pipe and turned on that regulator. When the water was turned back on, the pressure was 70psi according to the onboard gauge and has remained stable since my installation.

I first bought the 40 psi version for my line of refrigerators because the solenoid couldn't stop the water pressure directly from my house's water lines. The 40psi regulator solved my problem where the valve wouldn't close and negative water flow was painfully slow. I tried the 70psi model and the valve was still able to close as intended with greatly improved water flow. In general the product works as intended.

Used with Samsung fridge. Without them, the fridge would make a very loud squeak when the ice maker was full. I first tried a 70psi regulator. The 70 psi device reduced the noise, but it was still there. 40 psi stopped the noise completely. The only downside is that the water in the door is slow. And 50psi adjustable might be the best. The seller actually replaced the fridge. The second refrigerator, of course, made exactly the same noise.

I connected my espresso machine to the mains and when I switched the water source from tank to electricity I saw 6.5 bar (100psi) on the pressure gauge). ! This is about 4 times more than the manufacturer recommends. I found this built in water pressure regulator and decided to give it a try. I cut the 1/4" OD water line that goes to my espresso maker in half and plug each end of the line into each end of this regulator. The whole process also takes about a minute. Doesn't work. The pressure is the same before and after installation. Line pressure change zero. I'm going back and looking for a higher quality block. Update: So I stuck with this block for a while (didn't have time to swap it out again) and noticed some pressure changes over time. Basically, I depressurized the entire system when moving my storage tanks, and after that I noticed my pressure getting closer to the 70psi I wanted. It still fluctuates in the 80-90psi range so I'm not sure if this

Pressure is not 70psi, this product basically barely works, it took my pressure from 80psi to 78 pounds per square inch. I don't even want to return it because of the cost and hassle. If the manufacturer/seller would like to send me a working replacement, I'm happy to accept that and change my rating. Otherwise I live with it.
