Description of ๐Ÿšฒ Enhance Your Bicycle Assembly Efficiency with Finish Line Fiber Grip Carbon Fiber Gel

Fiber Grip(TM): Carbon Fiber Assembly Gel is specially designed to reduce slippage between clamped carbon fiber surfaces. Fiber Grip eliminates the need to over tighten clamps to achieve secure connections. Apply Fiber Grip in a thin film to clamping areas of stems, handlebars, seat posts, and seat tubes to eliminate the need for over tightening, which can cause internal fractures and fatigue of carbon fiber parts. Tested and approved by leading carbon fiber component manufacturers. Clear, Non-staining Non-Toxic.

Do you put your phone holder in your car?

I have one of those phone holders that fits a CD player and has sprung sides. It sits on a ball mount so you can rotate it vertically or horizontally and tilt it from side to side. Well, no matter how much I tightened the screw on the ball, it always worked loose and the phone always wanted to go from vertical to horizontal. Found it and ordered it for fun. Put something on the ball and WAAA-LAAAA! Good luck trying to turn it now without loosening the screw. GOOD PRODUCT!

A must for all carbon fiber!

I installed the new carbon fiber handlebars, I really liked it, but since carbon can be crushed by over-tightening, the brake levers keep slipping, the stem loosens even when riding over rough terrain, etc I have my doubts about this product but I went ahead and ordered it. I was VERY surprised at how well it grips with minimal torque. The gel contains sand that holds the parts but does not glue them together. Very high tech if you will, but it really works for all carbon materials like seatโ€ฆ

No more sagging

My aluminum framed aluminum seatpost keeps sagging after the previous owner removed it from me. Due to the very odd size (29.x?) I didn't want to replace it. The production thinks it's somehow deformed. I also broke the yoke trying to tighten it. Well, following the advice of RJ, a cyclist, I gave it a try. Set the clamp to the recommended 7 nm. I've done 2 rides already and so much more drowning feeling. The tape stayed right where I put it. It's also a good amount for multiple uses, making it

Also works with aluminium!

After a whole day of searching for a click I thought was coming from the steering wheel of my Giant Revolt 2 I finally found the source. into the seat post. Those tricky bike sounds. This is a known issue with Giant D-Fuse seatposts and several online sources have recommended carbon paste as a solution, so I decided to give the Finish Line stock a try. After cleaning the seatpost and applying paste to both it and the wedge that holds it in place, the noise seems to have gone away. I've justโ€ฆ

Seatpost no longer slips or clicks

I have an aero seatpost that tended to slip and this paste solved the problem. In addition, I often had a small "click" here and there as part of the slippage, which also more or less resolved itself. In terms of application, it doesn't take much, so a good thin coat will do. I would just caution against wiping clean and spending an extra minute wiping away excess as the abrasive nature of the gel makes it scratchy. Eventually I've found that after a few years it starts to dry out a bit and itโ€ฆ

Works simply and easily on carbon seat posts

I was the first owner of a carbon frame to get this. The bike also has a carbon seat post. After about 400 miles on the new bike, there was an awful creaking sound that I knew was coming from the saddle or rack because it stopped when I got up. Brought home, everything disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. As it was late winter/early spring it was dirty! Cleaning it alone helped a bit, but the squeaking was still quite strong. I was about to lubricate it like aluminum or steel wheels, but Iโ€ฆ

Thank you thank you Finish Line. My new Cervelo R3 full carbon road bike had an annoying squeaking noise coming from the frame just below the seat post clamp. Tightening the seatpost clamp with a Ritchey TorKey did not eliminate the squeak. The only way to eliminate squeaks is to raise the seatpost too high to get a proper fit. First I removed and cleaned the seat post and the top inside of the down tube. Second, I wrapped tape around the seatpost to mark how far the seatpost needs to beโ€ฆ
