I competed in swim competitions many (many, many) years ago and used latex swim caps with baby powder for training. It was harsh on my hair and left triple dents on my forehead which was very attractive. I recently joined a pool gym and bought this cap to get back into swimming (much less often). Obviously this lid is porous, but I find it comfortable and stays in place. My sweet forehead dent also disappears faster. I've never been a winner at swimming, but this hat has!

I swim a lot and it's important to protect my bald head from the sun. I also use lotions but they cover the most exposed parts of my scalp. It remains very pleasant. I've used them in the sea for body surfing and never felt like they could come loose. I'm Mabel to cover my ears so I can hear. It works great with glasses or goggles. You look great. I just hang them on a hook when I'm not using them and next time I need them they're dry. I will need more because I leave them in the car or at home

I have competed and have worn both latex and fabric caps in the past. Spandex hats are much more comfortable than rubber latex or silicone, which can pull on your hair, although they are more waterproof. I'm a professional swimmer (ocean/pool) and wear this cap mainly for training, not for competition. This is my first hat made from this material. Used less than 1 month. So far I like the comfort, fit and feel. I don't have long hair so no problem. It is more comfortable than silicone and latex and is easy to put on and take off without tearing your hair. I bought a hat to keep my head warm while exercising in the water when it gets cooler. My shoulders and head are above the water and if they get wet, brrr because the air isn't that warm. Since I don't actually swim, my short hair stays dry. I've tried a lap cap but can't use it with my current earbuds because of the protruding tab for inserting the earbuds.
