Simple to use, with a single test/silence button, and EZ access battery drawer allows you to change batteries without removing alarm from the ceiling. DO NOT BUY FIRST WARNING!

I have bought three of these detectors. After 1.75 years, one of them dropped out. I contacted First Alert to claim the 7 year warranty as instructed. They told me it was out of stock and sent a "poor quality" replacement. The one I have (model #SCO7) has a power/smoke alarm LED and a CO LED. You can also change the batteries by pulling out the side battery compartment of the SCO7. When replacing, the device must be removed from the wall. Also, they charged me $6.50 to ship a replacement. The…

TERRIBLE DESIGN.

Guess what the low battery indicator is? Did you guess a little "beep" from the block? NOT RIGHT! The low battery indication is that the siren will only turn on at maximum volume. day or night. sleep or wakefulness. I hope you enjoy the adrenaline 'cause your veins will start flowing after a few of these episodes. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this "feature" when I bought TEN of these devices last year and put them all over my house. Now I'm hoping to quickly replace all the batteries before

These alarms do NOT interact with each other, i.e. unrelated.

Please note - be careful, especially if like me you have misunderstood the description. I saw - read "wireless" and thought the term/description meant when - when one device is activated, the others will announce the predetermined location of the alarm. FALSE, ONLY the activated alarm announces its location. To this day I can't understand why I need an alarm to tell me where it is. If I'm close enough to "hear" the announcement, chances are GOOD I can at least locate the alarm/buzzer! Obviously

Easy to use and I feel safe

I had an apartment fire and my smoke detectors were out of order. Luckily I was right there and saw the fire in time to get everyone out of the house. One night, shortly after the fire, I couldn't sleep and went to Revane to find a smoke detector. I think I've seen them all. And I found this one. I bought it because it seemed to have all the features I needed. I really like how you can put the batteries in without taking the whole thing apart. I've always hated it. And sometimes I let it run…
