Fits well. No leaks

No leaks Works great on my 1990 Mazda Miata. Fittings at local parts stores are straight, this one at an angle works well.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Protection

Poor quality - look elsewhere

The picture does not match the item supplied. The head rotates and leaks after the o-ring is installed as the head shifts when tightened. Do not buy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Lifeguard: Air Conditioning Line Repair Tools

Great for conversations where you can't get the charging hose around a corner. Before installation, the wire on the low-pressure side R12 must be removed.

Pros
  • Looking Forward
Cons
  • Outside

Remove Schrader valve core prior to installation

Perfect fit for my 1992 Mazda Miata. However, the Schrader valve core must first be removed from port R12. I had a tool in my cycling gear for this purpose. Also, the device rotates, but if you screw it to the R12 connector, you can adjust the angle and tighten it to keep it from rotating.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Ratio kit

The port side adapter is a few things to know.

Appears to be made of quality materials. Before installation, you must remove the original Schrader valve. There is a gasket on the inside of the adapter where you screw it into the R12/22 fitting. Make sure it's tight. Once installed, the Schrader valve on the R134a port adapter ensures a tight seal. It is recommended to use some red Loctite to make sure it will hold and do a pressure test before fitting the R134a.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Almost everything is there
