This pump did the job and if my gauges were...

This pump did the job and when my gauges were correct it lowered the vacuum in my air conditioner to the correct level . I worked the pump for a total of about 90 minutes. This is my first time using this pump and I bought it new. The oil level will drop significantly, so you need to keep a close eye on the oil lever if it's been used for more than an hour. I was surprised to see that the level had dropped at least a quarter from the full line.

I've had it since October 12, 2011.

I am an unbiased verified buyer of this pump. I am also a weekend mechanic working on my car, family and friends. I purchased this pump on October 12, 2011 (based on Amazon order history) and have done over 10 car air conditioning jobs with ease. It still works just as well as it did 6 years ago when I bought it. He only has one job to do, and he does it very well—pulling out the vacuum cleaner. Also comes with vacuum oil, 2 inlets and switch. Nothing more to say except that I'm glad I have it…

Great pump for $$$

Shortly after getting it, I first used the pump to create a vacuum in my air conditioner (1,875 lb system) and it worked really well. good - as expected based on other reviews. Filled it with the provided oil, turned it on and within seconds I was seeing 29 inches of vacuum on the Yellow Jacket manifold gauges. The pump worked for at least 1-1.5 hours without any problems. There was no delivery or packaging. Problems, except for a small amount of oil on the outside of the pump housing next to…

Unfortunately it didn't work for me

I bought this pump with a liter of FJC pump oil. After filling the pump with oil (to the full mark) the pump started and worked properly. After about 8 or 10 minutes it went off. Overheated? Felt slightly warm. Let it cool down a bit, but it won't start. Just a loud buzz. Tried again the next morning, still won't start. Revain immediately sent a replacement. Went through the same procedure, filled the new pump and plugged it in. This one was almost silent, but the vacuum never exceeded 25…

Good pump for the money!

I have this pump to create a vacuum in my air conditioner on my Ford Ranger truck. Like other reviews mine was covered in oil, obviously not all the oil came out of the unit and the fact that the UPS is likely tossing the box doesn't help the matter. Luckily the oil bottle was still sealed. After wiping everything down and filling the sight glass with oil, I stuck it in my Ford Ranger for 30 minutes and the gauges were -30psi. Very good! That thing is pretty quiet! I was surprised how dirty the

Used once and so far it has worked well

I used it to evacuate air from an air conditioner installed in my car that was not equipped with factory air. I turned on the pump for about 45 minutes and my gauge read a vacuum of 21 inches of mercury, which wasn't as low as I was hoping. The best vacuum I could get was 25 inches of mercury. The vacuum in my air conditioner stayed stable for several days, so I decided it was leak free and that it was safe to charge it with R134a refrigerant. Before charging the system with refrigerant I ran…
