May install a rear hitch on my Acura MDX

Wanted to install a rear hitch on my 3 year old Acura MDX. I didn't install it when I first bought the car so one of the 6 bolts couldn't go all the way in due to rust. Using the PB Blaster with a manual wire brush didn't quite help. So I tried this tube brush, attached it to a drill press and in 15 seconds it was clean enough to finish fitting the last screw.

Pros
  • Just insert the brush into the drill
Cons
  • Write later

Excellent quality brush

I bought this drill to clean the inside of copper fittings and it really does the job. The quality is excellent and I expect it to last for many years. However, one caveat. Because the steel bristles are exposed, be sure to wear gloves and safety glasses when using. Every time you use such a brush in a power tool, you run the risk of the bristles flying off. Punching one in the hand or in the eye will not make your day.

Pros
  • For quick and easy cleaning of pipe fittings before soldering
Cons
  • Crumpled

Ideal for removing rust in dark areas

I use this along with the smaller size to remove rust from axes before fitting a new handle. Installed in a drill, it cleans the inside of the ax head quite well. I tried using a regular wooden wire brush but it was too bulky for the job. Their only downside is that you can only use moderate force. If you push too hard, you'll end up bending the shaft. This is unavoidable in my opinion, which is why I'm not lowering my rating on that basis.

Pros
  • Package Dimensions: 10.414L x 2.286H x 3.81W (cm)
Cons
  • Expensive
