Works, but only if you have a high ceiling in your garage

Works well, almost. I bought this for my two car garage so I don't have to use ropes, parking bumpers or anything else I might hit or trip over. It looked like the ticket, except the laser arms only extend so far, and because my garage has a support beam in the middle where it's supposed to sit, the lasers can't aim high enough to reach both dashboards. I ended up getting two, one for each machine, and it works. But it doesn't work as I had hoped.

Cheaply Made: Tools and Equipment

Product works as advertised. When there's movement, lasers 1 or 2 will turn on depending on how you set them up, letting you know how far forward to pull. The plastic case is cheap and the battery cover was already broken when it arrived. Since there is a retaining plate that holds the battery, I did not send it back. If you want to use both lasers for a 2 car garage, you're better off with a very high ceiling as you can't spread them very far apart. In short, a good product for a singleโ€ฆ

Good idea - cheaply made and doesn't work

I bought this so my wife and I would know where to take our cars to the shop. It's cheap and feels fragile when opened. I had to sand a side for one of the laser pointers because I couldn't mount it in the center of the garage so the lasers would point to the dashboards of both cars. They're not far enough apart. Finally, the motion detector does not work. The motion sensor only works 2 times out of 10 when we drive into the garage. I think I'll use a tennis ball instead.

Easy install and no more dangling tennis ball :-)

We have a two car garage at our house and the cars are parked too close to the wall OR too far in front most days. I'm sure this is a common problem for many homes. I looked at the tennis ball solution but it's a bit of a hack as the ball keeps getting in the way when the cars aren't parked. This motion detection laser sensor is a great solution to my problem. This helps me park both cars perfectly in the exact same spot. I stick two small circles on the car dashboard with double-sided tape and

The 95 degree spread is ridiculous; a defective laser

Although the device shines with two laser spots (one of which is so weak that it can hardly be seen), the claimed 95-degree "spread" is clearly not true. I have an 8 foot ceiling in my garage, the centers of the cars are 7.5 feet apart and the dash is 4.5 feet from the ceiling. Trigonometry calculated that the required angle is about 79 degrees for the dot in the middle of the stroke to glow. I fixed it to the ceiling before permanent installation and the laser doesn't reach the center of aโ€ฆ

Cons
  • high price

Very poor motion detection, turns off quickly when detected so park quickly. Limited corners. So the main problem with this is the limited sweep range of the laser - it's almost impossible to use both lasers on two cars side by side in your garage to get from the driver's seat to a decent spot to see on your car. I ended up having to make a wooden mounting bracket to lower it below the ceiling for the corners to work. Also, the motion detection is very weak, usually you have to step back to aโ€ฆ

Great idea but difficult to install and impractical for limited space.

I bought this device because it looks like a very good idea but it didn't work as expected and a much simpler and cheaper solution works better for us. First, despite the "wide-angle upgrade," the laser width isn't wide enough for two cars parked a reasonable distance (say, 3 feet). It took me a long time trying different locations and different angles, but the best I could do was aim the laser at the center of one car and the passenger side of the other. The problem is that the car has aโ€ฆ
