🌀 Four Seasons/Trumark 75804 Blower Motor Assembly with Wheel Review

WAs is listed as a Subaru Outback replacement. The fan fits and works, but is slightly noisier than the stock fan, which is probably due to the fan blade design not matching the original unit. Other than that, it was a great price compared to a brand new dealer unit. The car is old, as are the drivers, so the extra noise isn't too bad, just turn up the volume.

15 minute install on my 2005 Outback. Fits perfectly, works perfectly. There are three screws holding it in place. The screw closest to the firewall will require an extension cord or deep socket. Don't over tighten as the screw is metal and the shroud is plastic, but make sure you lift the fan so its flange sits on the shroud.

The part fits and is screwed correctly, but you can tell that it is not as good quality as the OEM part. The end play on the motor shaft is about 2mm and is not as quiet as the OEM part. The fan end and OEM case also don't fit as closely together, so airflow is reduced somewhat. Bottom line, it fits and works well, but not as well as the OEM part, which costs more.

While I was doing this the other day, I noticed that the fan motor in my 2005 Outback van was starting to make noise. I called the dealer to find out the price and was immediately discouraged by the price. I did a little research and found it here at Revain for a significantly cheaper price. The fit is good and the work really isn't too bad to complete. Took me about 45 minutes total and now have a quiet fan motor. I am happy with this product and have no issues with Four Seasons.

This is one of those aftermarket products that doesn't try to exactly match the original. It's physically different but fits my 05 OB with no issues because it's a straight fit and a 10 minute job. What's missing is clout. All fan speeds will work, but each will be less powerful than the OEM fan. I would say a setting of 4 (max) is equivalent to 3 on the OEM, 3 is the old 2, 2 is the old 1 and 1 is about half what it was. The product was delivered on time, however there is a plastic air vent connected to 4 pins on the bottom of the unit. The ventilation grille was not fixed and two pins were bent in different directions. Apparently this item missed inspection and was sent.
