Very nice cord and machined brass base

Fits 7.3 IDI diesel engine no problem. Very good cord and brass base. Warms the engine up to around 110F on an average winter day. Sometimes I just connect for a few hours. Closest to OEM I've found!

Pros
  • Installation Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Discontinued

Yes. It works. c Engine Heaters

My little school bus didn't have a heater because it was made in sunny Southern California. I live in MA now. Before I installed this thing, it typically took me 30 minutes to turn on the glow plugs and crank the crankshaft to get it going in the New England winter cold. Currently. starts every day on the first try, even in sub-zero temperatures. I can't compare it to other heaters as I've never had one. But I can tell you without a doubt, this thing WORKS.

Pros
  • 7.5 ft (2.29 m) cord included
Cons
  • Almost Fair

Exactly the model my car service installed for me.

The exact model I had at the auto shop a few years ago was almost half the price. Previous reviewers say it should last for years, which my first didn't, but it may have had a manufacturing defect and is still rated highly by stores and other reviewers. Turn on the timer as it only lasts a few hours in very cold weather (0-20 degrees Fahrenheit). So far it has worked very well. Installed in November 2014, it is now February 2015 with three very cold spells lasting two weeks or more. Time will…
