Hybrid water boots + deck boots

(Updated August 24, 2020) I downgraded to 3 stars. These shoes are just uncomfortable even after wearing them for some time. I just can't get used to the feeling under my feet when walking. (Original review) I really like the look of these shoes and the quality is definitely there, but they just aren't that comfortable. While it's true that some boots take some time to "put on" before they're really comfortable, these shoes seem to be one of them, so I'll give it a little more time. The sizingโ€ฆ

water in; Water Out

As this is a water shoe, or at least a shoe that feels good in the water, I expect it to be a bit small to fit snugly without socks. Instead, they're a bit large, if anything, making them suitable for standing but uncomfortable for walking, and can also fall off your feet if used in waves or under water conditions, causing them to get sucked in. They go well with socks as walking shoes for short distances, but if they get wet you'll be in a wet mess for the rest of the day until you can takeโ€ฆ

A little big, not super comfortable.

These aren't the deck shoes I'm used to, but they look like they'll get the job done. I wear 10, ordered 10 and they are a bit big on my foot. Sizing doesn't seem big, maybe not even 1/2, but they aren't as snug as all my other size 10 shoes. Slightly more room to manoeuvre. While they're not uncomfortable, they're not super comfortable. But that's probably because they're deck shoes. It's hard to explain how they feel on my feet, the best I can say is that it felt like I was wearing thin water

Pros
  • Vented, breathable upper with quick release sole
Cons
  • Some minor things

Well made water shoes. A little wear from the wings on the heel.

FROGG TOGGS Men's Windward Premium Water Fishing Shoes Most reviewers wear these water shoes with socks for some reason. If you wear them barefoot and plan to get wet, the heel may be a bit high. You can even see it on the model in the product photos. On the back there is a small "winglet" that can rub on the outside of the ankle. Over time, this part of the shoe may tire of rubbing against you, but until then, blisters are to be expected. I wear size 10 sneakers and they fit true to size. They

nice shoes - but got a pair in two different sizes!

I want to give this shoe 5 stars. They are comfortable and light. They provide good traction, drain well and stay on your feet as you maneuver the boat in and out of water and mud. The back of the heel folds down so you can wear them as clogs when you need a quick, hands-free shoe. They were a bit stiff at first but after wearing them for a while they are more comfortable and seem to be holding up so far. So far, so good. They seem a bit big. Perhaps for this reason, they also protrude slightly

Shoes are falling apart on Athletic

incredibly poor quality deck shoes. Bought in July, worn for 4 months, sole ripped. I've never experienced that, especially with $70 shoes. So disappointing!

More than just deck/fishing shoes

Summer is here. Too hot to wear traditional slippers. That and the slippers look very cheap - I always wear the soles within a few months. I ordered these quality men's FROGG TOGGS Windward fishing shoes because they looked perfect as indoor shoes to wear outdoors when needed. Now that I've had it for a week, I'm very happy with it. They are light, well made, comfortable, breathable and have a sole that allows me to wear them indoors and outdoors without worrying about them wearing out quickly.

Pros
  • Non-marking Trigrip rubber outsole

  • Some cons
