🚘 High-Quality Front Hood Lift Supports for Ford Explorer & Mercury Mountaineer: 1996-2001 Models Review

Guess I should have trusted the seller's description and not the Revain manual which told me it would the right replacement for my 1995 Ford is Explorer. They are the correct length but have a 1/4" ball end on one end and the 1995 model requires a larger 3/8" ball end on both ends. So they didn't fit. Revane, why don't you make sure these items are the right size?

A post was stuck in the open position and I even tried to push it through with a zip tie but it froze in place. Waiting for replacement

Easy installation. Proper hood next. Since installing the supports, I've only had to open the hood a couple of times. Today I lifted the hood for the first time in two months and the props are already dead. They now provide no hood support and have been completely phased out. They failed sometime between week 2 (last time I popped the hood) and week 10 (today). I received defective supports. They are made in China under the TadaMark brand. The lift cylinders were the same size as the stock cylinders and were easy to install. I noticed that the cylinders don't give the same lift pressure as the OEM cylinders, but they have enough pressure to hold the hood open. When I opened the hood a few weeks after installing the new cylinders, they both made a loud "squeaking" noise, like there was no grease on the shafts.
