A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

Bought to replace the standard XC16-50mmF3.5-5.6 OIS II for the Fujifilm X-A2, the autofocus feels 1.5–2 stops faster after opening the box.

Pros
  • Lightweight, high-aperture, compact, and dustproof.
Cons
  • If there are, I (an amateur photographer) haven't heard of them.

Performs its functions, nothing unusual.

by 4 minus Has pros: Compared to 35mm f1.4 - faster autofocus, The lens has an internal focus, unlike its predecessor, the "trunk" does not move out, that is, this lens will obviously collect less dust, for video shooting it matters. Some cons: A number of reviews warn that the old 35 / 1.4 the choice is obviously the XF 35mm f/1.4, which outperforms the new 35mm at just about any aperture you'd likely want to shoot landscapes

THE FASTEST FOCUSING LENS IN THE FUJI X SERIES

Almost every professional photographer in the FUJI X Series has this lens, it's arguably the best lens for street photography. The best qualities. The fastest lens in the FUJI range up to 50 mm. Pin sharp images, good bokeh. Works well with portraits. 35mm on an x-series camera is equivalent to 52-53mm. For the price unbeatable. Excellent quality. Take it.

Pros
  • A great product
Cons
  • Clarity

Don't expect anything good for the camera and the photo

I ordered my Xt3 with the lens in the kit because it was out of stock and I needed a second body to shoot with (a7iii). I got this lens after watching youtube I'm so glad the pictures from this lens are amazing! Now I use this lens and camera more than the Sony a7iii, it's a pleasure to focus with, it's fast and quiet and it's light, what more could you ask for? If you're on the fence I'd pay double for this lens again in a heartbeat! This really is a gem!

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • There are flaws

Small, light, durable, fast and sharp prime lens.

Excellent quality lens for sharp images. Small, light and ideal for portraits or low light. Subtle background blur and bokeh. The auto focus is fast. I'm glad I got it. When shooting with full frame cameras, my preferred focal length is 50mm, so it's pretty much the same angle. Will it fit my Nikon 50mm 1.4D lens? No, I didn't expect that. Yes, an f/1.4 lens will give you slightly better blur and is slightly better in low light, but I wanted a lighter lens for my X-T20 and didn't want to spend…

Great for full length portraits

Probably my most used lens, although it's not a focal length I use often. The 50mm equivalent tends to be a bit longer for me than a converting lens. It is excellent for ground/full-length portraits. Despite that, I still used this lens as a touring lens because it was the best I've ever had to work with. It was either this lens or my Samyang 12mm. Image quality: 10/10. The pictures are just AMAZING. I will attach some pictures for you to see. In terms of value, this is probably your most…

Great hiking goggles.

Just yesterday, May 26th, I received this silver lens. I took some photos with him. The focus is indeed faster than the older 35mm f1.4 on the x-t1. In good light they do not hunt at all. More confident in his lock and completely silent. I switched between single point and area focus - both seem quick when it comes to making and fixing decisions. I think the structure is great. The membrane ring is well dampened but still smooth like the old Takumara membrane ring. Turning the manual focus ring

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Can't remember

Does things I've never seen in a lens before.

UPDATE 09/03/2019: I've tried this lens again after having success with other Japan-made copies of Fujicron. Sometime in 2017 or later, Fujifilm moved production of this lens to the Philippines and gave it a new product number. There may also have been a silent lens upgrade, but I can't confirm that for sure. What I do know is that the old "Made in Japan" version works a little better. It appears to be better built visually, with less off-center softness and decentering. The corners are still…

One of the best lenses I have ever owned

I recently switched from Canon to Fujifilm and am very glad I did. I love the compact size of all Fuji models and this lens is no exception. This small lens fits in a jacket pocket, but don't let its size fool you. It performs well and is one of the best lenses I've ever used. CONSTRUCTION: The construction of this lens is first class. It's nice to see that camera lenses are made of METAL and not plastic like almost all Canon lenses. Even my $700 Canon macro lens is plastic! The tightness of…

First of all, let's get something straight. This lens is only 13 grams lighter than the F1.4. It is 5mm shorter. So if you're just looking for it because it's a lighter, shorter lens, this is it, but not by much. However, the lens is much better balanced than the heavy front F1.4, so at least with the X-T1 it 'feels' lighter when shot in its entirety. So don't be fooled into thinking there's a significant reduction in weight and size like you see with a pancake lens, because that really isn't…
