An essential item for every car.

Why aren't they supplied to cars from the factory? It's that easy to use. Ease of installation. And just a great idea. I installed this on a 2015 Ram 2500 with 6.7 Cummins. I'm not worried about it coming off as it has adequate coverage and is under the frame. If you are an oil changer yourself this is worth a try to see if you like it.

No more messy oil changes!

My Dodge Ram diesel engine holds three gallons of oil. I challenge anyone who changes their oil in the driveway without spilling at least some of it in a container for recycling. I installed this drain valve yesterday and am very happy with the quality of the valve and appreciate the safety clip they added. I was a little worried about the valve protruding under my oil pan, but on my Ram it's just behind the front axle and doesn't protrude under it, so there's no risk of snagging on the…

A time-saving, cost-effective retrofit for pickup trucks and other vehicles

The Fumoto Oil Drain Valve is a single-lever ball valve that allows you to drain oil cleanly and without tools. Installation couldn't be easier. On your next oil change, simply install the fumoto ball in place of the drain plug with a 3/4" wrench. Model 104n has a nipple to which a drain hose can be temporarily attached to drain used oil directly into a disposal container. The open/close lever has a safety latch to prevent accidental opening, but the Fumoto has a clip that offers a little more…

Doesn't work with 2012 Honda Odyssey

I bought this item a while ago and tried to install it today. First of all it doesn't go well, you have to stiffen it a bit because the sump body doesn't allow screwing it on by hand because the sump body is shaped in such a way that it doesn't let the valve move. smoothly due to the position of the valve lever. More importantly, once the valve is snapped in and tightened, the valve lever lands in the most awkward spot. Essentially, it prevents anyone from actually using the lever to open and…

First leaked to drain the oil

I installed a Fumoto F104N engine oil drain valve on a 2017 Ram 5500. 3 times. The statement I kept seeing in the information was "DON'T TIGHTEN TOO MUCH". The literature said it should be tightened to 18 ft.lbs. However, I didn't have the tools to use a torque wrench on this valve body. I also noticed that this valve does not have a rubber O-ring. It is more of a solid upholstery material. I drained the oil, installed the valve with the gasket using an adjustable wrench, and estimated when I…
