We beat this and it still works. Fully protects the chain on the front ring when I can't get over an obstacle. It even comes with an extra piece of plastic in case it wears out or breaks.

I must have a disposable MTB because despite all the research it doesn't fit mine. I hate returning things because I ordered online to save myself the hassle of going somewhere go, buy and return.

Nice clean installation. Oddly enough I haven't hit it yet, so I can tell how strong or prone to flexing the aluminum mount is. My guess is that as long as the plastic guard stays relatively smooth, it's more likely to slip off things than get caught, which I think has a better chance of bending it. Because of this, they probably contain another piece of plastic.

The bashguard itself is stronger than I expected. It has about 1 inch thick nylon on the two guards and aluminum on the bracket. Super cool that it includes 2 guards. It took me 5 minutes to install this due to the way my grips work, but overall it was an easy install. My only real gripes with this product are that the instructions were a bit vague and the fact that it costs $40. I expected something like this to cost 30 or less. I just put this on before driving to Sedona yesterday. Last week I hit my grip in the Broken Atrow and left her with a good wound. Then I saw footage of the fall I took the other day (photo attached) and I realized that if I don't get this watch I won't regret it. Yesterday morning (after adding my new favorite gear) I hit two rocks (Huckaby Trail) on a 3 hour drive through FUNN and Chunky-ness.
