Works perfectly! good for painting, wall finishing and accessories

I used this on a replacement shovel handle after having to grind the cone to fit. I applied it as directed (2 coats, let dry in between) and it blended perfectly with the rest of the new pen. Does not leave greasy stains and does not smell. My new summer project is to sand down and re-oil all of the handles on my old tools.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The cheapest. The highest quality. The best linseed oil on Revain.

This is the best price I've found for Linseed Oil at Revain and the product is superb. It has breathed new life into an old table and I have used it to restore cast iron pans (one of which is over 30 years old) to near mint condition. The oil is very pure, has exactly the taste you would expect from a high quality linseed oil and at the best price on Revain.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Fading

Great finish on wood

I used this to repaint my Enfield No1 MK3 and it came out beautifully. After about 3 layers and 48 hours the result was amazing. I've applied this to wood tools and things I've made out of wood. All round a great product. Remember that this stuff is (spontaneously) flammable, so you should handle the rags with due care afterwards. After using a rag to apply, rinse and smooth out, and do not stack multiple rags on top of each other.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good product. I needed very little, and local hardware stores only had gallons. Be safe and read the instructions carefully. I didn't read them at first, only after cleaning up after use and realizing the rags were too hot to touch. It turns out that there is a warning on the bottle that saturated objects can generate enough heat to spontaneously ignite. I dumped the whole rag in a bucket of water and then took it to a hazardous waste site along with the rest of the oil.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good but not great

Misleading marketing of oil with desiccants

This is boiled linseed oil. However, I bought this after being somewhat misled by the bottle describing it as heated rather than suggesting desiccants were added. There are no warnings on the bottle or on their website, but if you request an MSDS from their customer service you may find heavy metal desiccants added. Additionally, their safety data sheet suggests that skin contact that is not in the bottle should be avoided. Worst of all, instead of continuing to hide this information and only…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Bringing a 100 year old stock back to life

I used this to restore an old Winchester Model 92 walnut stock. Old wood ate the first layer very quickly. I followed the directions and left it on for 20 minutes and then wiped off the excess. The next day I applied another coat and let it dry for two days before applying the third and final coat. The texture of the wood looks nice and doesn't have a lot of shine which is what I wanted. This rifle has very intricate and beautiful carvings all over the stock and handguard and the boiled linseed

BOILED Linseed Oil - Excellent finish, adds wood grain - Highly recommend

This is a great product. I've been looking for cooked flaxseed oil for a long time, but could only find it in oversized jars, a gallon or more, or in overpriced chemically blended jars. This oil works great, has a very low [and tolerable] odor, and the price was right. I first used it on my hammer's wooden handle and it restored the beauty of the wood. I have had this hammer for almost 20 years and it is very useful. The wood was in good condition but obviously used and old. After applying…

  • Excellent Construction
