You are doing a good job. They are supplied with mounting plates, screws and floor protection pads. I'm deducting a star because 1) they feel like plastic (although they don't look cheap on furniture) and more importantly 2) two screws from the kit broke when we were attaching the mounting plates. Luckily we had extras.

These mid-century inspired legs are made from natural wood, but don't look like it until you sand down the odd surface that looks plasticized. I have an old Ikea Karlstad chair which is bulky, low and rather unattractive but very comfortable. Those 8 inch legs gave it some much needed height and looks. I was concerned that the wood finish would look plasticky, but the stain was natural enough for me. The screws go directly into the existing holes in the bottom of the chair. It took a few extra turns to tighten and the screws aren't as long as the ones Ikea uses so I'll have to see how sturdy they are, but I'm very pleased so far!

Nightmare. We tried it out to make sure it would fit the pre-drilled holes on our IKEA VIMLE sofa. Everything went smoothly, but when we tried to remove it the screw stayed in the couch and only the wooden leg came loose. I bought these legs to upgrade my Ikea Söderhamn. There is a lot of conflicting information online and in many places 5/16 and M8 are interchangeable. These threads are not interchangeable. Luckily, the threaded bolts on these legs are very easy to remove and replace. If you buy them for Ikea furniture, they will not fit without modification.
