Fast and easy. suitable for fruit and vegetable tools

My sister gave me one of these tools. I liked it so much that I ordered one for each of my children's families. It allows you to quickly de-bloom strawberries and quarter them for a fresh strawberry tart or make a morning bowl of cereal. If only I would think of it!

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • too blunt

works as advertised and is definitely safe for children

My daughter loves strawberries, but every morning she spends a lot of time cutting them for lunch. This neat little gadget is perfect, especially for kids. If you turn the strawberries upside down and cut straight down the middle, the stone and quarters will be perfectly removed. A warning though, you must hand wash it before putting it in the dishwasher.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Removes the core but leaves the leaves behind - the knife works better

This is a good way to remove the stone from a strawberry (which I've never done - I mean the stone tastes good), but the disappointing in that it does not reach the leaves. You have 4 strawberry quarters loosely attached to the leaves at the top and then you have to select all four quarters. Inevitably, one of the quarters will stick to the leaves and you'll have to separate them. An old-fashioned alternative is to simply snip off the tip with a knife. This works much better and faster. This…

Good work. - Kitchen and dining room

I love this Fusionbrands Pushberry 2-in-1. I wasn't sure if it would cut the berries cleanly as this product is entirely plastic. However, it worked fine. It actually worked well enough for me to let my grandkids use it because it had NO metal blades. I tear off the leaves first and then just center the strawberry and press it down with my thumbs, bringing my fingers and thumb together. He quarters the berries and the stone has to be thrown away. It also has a domed outer ring to keep the grip…

I love this tool! at Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

I love strawberries but there is so much work to remove the leaves and cut them up. That makes it very easy! It is comfortable to hold, has non-slip sides and not very sharp cutting edges. I suppose if you squeeze hard enough you could cut your fingers, but to be honest if you squeeze a strawberry hard enough to possibly cut your finger you're crushing the whole strawberry! Pushberry reminds me of the little apple slices we use for our apples, just not as big or sharp. I've tried slicing…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • ---

This is a small disposable tool that doesn't take up much space in the tool box. . It goes over the top of the strawberry and you just press down and it slices the strawberry into quarters. The tip and core will separate. Sometimes when I use it I get a little green on the piece but usually it's just a very odd shaped strawberry or I didn't center it. It's easy enough for a kid and safe enough for a responsible kid; Only one side is slightly sharp, certainly not as sharp as a dull knife. It's…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Removes the pit, leaves the leaves

PushBerry somewhat answers the question nobody has asked - how to easily remove the pit from strawberries. I have eaten this fruit all my life. I never thought of removing the core from them, instead digging up the green leaves from above and then using a knife to cut the fruit to my liking. PushBerry is a spoke wheel with a pointed center circle. To use, insert the tip of the berry into the inner ring and then slide the fruit through the device. This does an excellent job of removing the core…

One smart tool can benefit many

We live in an area known for large strawberry farms. There are many of them for several months. Aside from the grocery store, they are available from any number of street stalls that pop up every year. Picking yourself is a popular option at several large stores, not only because the berries are very cheap, but also because it's a fun way to spend the day with family and friends. We have processed LOTS of strawberries over the years. Although I'm most skilled with a paring knife, this…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Works well but I wish it had stainless steel blades. Something of a junior apple core cutter, I wasted a lot of strawberries and wasted a tedious time cutting stems and leaves when I was juicing them. I haven't made much juice lately, but instead make a banana strawberry smoothie or sometimes a banana split. Either way it works well or just to make a bowl of mixed fruit or strawberries with cream or sugar. EASY TO USE: You simply line up the strawberries, center them and push them through the…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
