worked fine on my Sportster but I had to.

worked fine on my Sportster even though I had to buy replacement parts and attachments. I found them at NAPA Auto, nowhere else.

Possible defect in shock absorbers, struts and suspension

There is a lot of grease near the air connection, it looks like some kind of oil for shock absorbers, I'm not sure if they are leaking/broken, me will install them anyway and find out if they are any good or not

Pros
  • practical article
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Oil and air leakage

The first order arrived in an oil-soaked box. I opened the box and found that the shock absorbers had entered the box. I sent them back and ordered again. The second order came and installed it in my car. I found that they were not holding air and would deflate as soon as I disconnected the air hose. Walked around with a spray bottle of soap and water and found that air was leaking from the piston seal. Removed and reinstalled the shocks, then ordered Monroe air shocks and so far they are…

Lousy ride on HD Street Glide

Bought these for a DIY aviation ride on my 2016 Street Glide. The shocks seemed fine (no leaks etc) but I didn't enjoy the ride at all. Solo riding required more than 110psi, stretching the shocks completely and not giving a very good (stiff) ride. Relieve the pressure to about 85psi and typical bumps are fine, but anything like small potholes (even manhole covers only up to an inch with smooth pavement. No sharp edges around the cover) and bumps reach the bottom. Driving a two is terrible if…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Requires outlet

a quality control issue?

3 star rating because I couldn't use it. Here are my thoughts. Bought to replace the Monroe air shocks I had on the Dyna that cracked the weld and leaked. Replacing the upper hub was easier than the Monroe because it was a true tubular hub and not a coiled belt like the Monroe. The Monroes weren't perfectly round and I had to grind them down to get the bushings in. Finish wise they were pretty decent, I would have ridden them if they hadn't had a few weird red scuffs, it baffled me but the box…
