10W 1.35mm PoE Texas 802.3af Splitter: Power Over Ethernet for Foscam, iPads, USB, Dropcam, Raspberry Pi, and More (5V Output) Review

100% satisfied. Used in conjunction with a 48V PoE injector and 4-port gigabit switch in conjunction with POE cameras supplying 48 volts directly to the cameras and legacy Airsight 5V non-POE cameras . The voltage has been dropped from 48V to 5V with just enough current to make them work as intended. Ideal!

[WT-AF-5v10w 802.3af PoE splitter with 5 volt output] Needed a direct power solution (no adapters etc.) for an Axis non-PoE camera . I didn't want to use passive injection and had to worry about applying different voltages to the source. This product was the perfect solution and the quality is evident as well. I'm not new to electronics and/or networking (35 years EE/CompE) and it's amazing how many people don't know what they're buying and vendors use it. MANY, if not most, "802.3af compliant"

I got a couple dozen of these from POE in Texas and have used them to replace power supplies wherever I could get PoE. It's amazing how much easier it can be to get ethernet somewhere instead of 120VAC. I've run them in both hot and cold conditions with no problems. By using them, I've simplified my wiring, reduced the risk of electrocution, I've become more environmentally friendly since I don't convert power everywhere, and most of my devices are connected to the UPS's PoE switch.

The perfect complement to the URC MRX4SEN2 probe extension. No one will understand what I'm talking about, but it's certainly true. :)

Emailed Texas PoE. Very quick response and customer service. I asked them which adapter would work with my Actiontec ECB6200 MoCA 2.0 adapters. They recommend this one. Just plug in and get started. Nice to be able to get rid of a few wall power supplies!

My wife loves that we don't need 2 cables to climb the wall and can just use a white ethernet cable to match the color of the wall instead. Works great with my Foscam IP camera. Wifi wasn't the best and LAN usage was great!

I'm using this to power Amcrest IP cameras and it works terrific. Amcrest users should be advised that this product has an included AC adapter that has a tip that is about twice as long as the tip used by Amcrest, so it will snag a bit. I don't really want to use an additional adapter; Perhaps a shorter tip model is or will be available?

I had a long time problem with this device pulsing between 5V and 3V DC. . It was actually the PowerDsine PoE injector that I used. I connected this device to a real PoE switch from work and the problem was resolved. I then hooked it up to a newer PoE injector I had at home and the problem persisted. A word to the wise: use only with a PoE switch or known good PoE injector. This unit did NOT like the PowerDsine injector I had. All in all it does what I need, so I'm satisfied.
