Collars are too big for puppies of small breeds

I like the heavy material and the reliability of the collar clasp. newborn puppies. I bought these collars because my 10 lb Shih Tzu was due to give birth to her first litter soon. If you have a small dog don't waste your time, they are huge and probably perfect for a Labrador, Golden Retriever and similar sized dogs, but for a Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, Yorkie or any other small breed, these collars are way too much big. and it's probably dangerous to dress such a small newborn puppy in case they…

Soft and safe for new puppies

Our new 11 week old Shih Tzu pup, Stitch, hated the collar I bought from the local pet store and clawed and cried when it was put on. I found these velvet collar sets and thought I'd give them a try. They are so soft that now Stitch doesn't cry when I put them on. He even learns to walk on a leash as the ring on the collar is just the right size for his leash and the soft material of the collar won't hurt his neck if he pulls too hard. Collars for puppies, cats, other small animals

I got them for a litter of puppies, we only had 3 puppies so we have plenty left. This is the breakaway type I usually get for my 2 cats and the rest are either used for them or my daughter tells me they fit her 2 smallest ferrets too. We have German Shepherd puppies and they suit them. From birth they are now 3 1/2 weeks old and still fit and may have 1 1/2 weeks to grow. update - all collars are damaged. My 8 puppies no longer have collars. This is very annoying now. They may not be suitable for large breed puppies as they quickly become chew toys. Luckily the cracked lid was not swallowed. I still have to come up with something. I may have to use Velcro. (They have chew toys, but of course the collar is much more interesting.)
