Great on the outside but not on the mat.

It worked great outside on the range and lane but it was way inside so I bought it. I love Garmin products but the customer service rep on the phone had no idea how it even works and asked me do I play real golf balls? The return was smooth and hassle free.

Not at all accurate

I play golf regularly so I know my swing very well. I just bought this because I have COVID-19 housing in California and wanted to enjoy backyard golf. The result is very, very disappointing. The g80 gave me about 90,100 yards for all P wedges, 9 irons, 8 irons, 7 irons, 6 irons, and 5 irons. this is a joke It might work for some golfers, but at least not for me.

G80 does the job for sports and portable GPS

First of all I have only used Garmin products and will not change them. Used the G10 for a couple of years and just wanted to see how the whole hole played with the variety of meters. The G8 implemented this bill without any problems. The battery life is incredible (more than 5 shots on a single charge). Accuracy is the same as the G10, so no change for me. I can see the screen without glasses (yup) and move the pointer to different places with ease. Adaptation to all functions but very happy…

Scoring doesn't work

One of the important features of the G80 is the ability to store scores for four players. Unfortunately this function does not work. This way you can enter points during the round, but as soon as you click save at the end of the round the points will disappear. In my opinion, tracking points is a necessary feature for such a device. Reading the threads on Garmin's website reveals that this feature has been out of service for two years with no fix in sight. This shows two things: 1) either…

Worth the money - still high price

Great product. Expensive but does what it does very well. Easy to use, albeit a bit tricky on the first try. As soon as I started using it, I noticed a noticeable improvement in my consistency. Initially the racquet speed was around 94 mph and by the end of my session it was consistently around 104 mph. The hit rate was accurate and I have no doubts about the club/ball speed. Roll distance can be played depending on the slope, but carry distance was exactly +-5 yards or so. The GPS is great and

Overheats and shuts down

I never normally write product reviews, good or bad, but I feel a commitment to this product. Very few reviews when I bought earlier this month. This is a great product and does exactly what it promises. However, if you use the radar function (stick and ball measurement data) to practice your shots, this device will overheat and shut down within 15 minutes. You have to wait for it to cool down before you can use it again. Once it overheats, it will happen earlier and earlier during the same…

This. Is. Slow. That. Is. awkward.

This car is pretty good for distance to the green (back, center, front) anywhere near the fairway. For everything else.it. is. slow. Many of the other "features" advertised in the product description are not as practical. The screen is not bright enough or large enough to determine the distance to obstacles, trees, etc. According to the product description this is the case, but in practice this is not the case. And this is. Slow. Tapping the screen and refreshing the screen display takes a…

What you need to know before you buy!

I bought this product thinking it was an upgrade from the G8, basically the G8 with radar capabilities. I was wrong! Although it has GPS and a scorecard, it doesn't track detailed statistics. If you want to use a device to determine your club's distances, this is not the case. You can measure the shot, but that won't tie it to the racquet. There are Garmin forums where these features have been requested, but we don't know if they will be implemented. However, this device is excellent for a…
