Excellent sonar for the price

Excellent sonar for the price. I've been looking for the new sonar for a long time. Until I came across this Garmin Striker 4plus. This is a great little device and works really well on my kayak. Lots of bells and whistles.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Damaged

Good fish finder.: Car and vehicle electronics

I have replaced my front fish finder. The Garmin Striker Plus 4 is easy to read, shows depth, fish, can adjust color and has many other functions. I will be buying another large screen fish finder from Garmin to replace the 1 in the cockpit. A good product.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • weak

Used and received damaged

Very disappointed with this order! It was an early Christmas present for my husband. We ordered a NEW item and received an opened box showing the sonar transducer scratched and chipped, dirt in the plastic seam and cracks on top.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

but still an annoyance and a real disappointment that I couldn't use it.

Worked before leaving home, did not shoot at the lake. Have strength per unit. I will have to contact Garmin. I'm sure they will be useful but still an annoyance and a real disappointment not being able to use them on holiday.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Excellent quality, the best in automotive and automotive electronics

However the instructions provided with this product left a lot to be desired; this was not difficult to determine based on previous experience. While the unit appears to be very accurate, at least on my boat (20 mph max) it works even under load. I haven't had a chance to play with the display feature yet.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great GPS for small boats

I have it on my 16ft coaster, I use it on rivers and lakes in Colombia; the most difficult conditions. I've used it with lots of rain, sun and humidity and it still works great. Very easy to use, intuitive and you get a lot for your money. It has already paid off. The only REGULAR aspect is the dash mount, the device tends to come loose and fall off.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

game changer! about sonars and fish finders

It has a much larger screen than I expected. In fact, I've used the chart/sonar split screen a lot and can see perfectly. Worked great for me on a recent fishing trip. Finding and catching fish has really made a big difference for me. I ran it on EXP1270 Expertpower 12v 7a (also Amazon Prime) batteries and got 31 hours of continuous use on each battery. The fully charged battery is 13.5V, and the device turns off when the battery drops below 11.5V (the device displays the battery voltage on the

Vexillary Killer. Works amazing!

After being used on the ice last winter I cannot understand how Vexilar can sell their product with very limited features at exorbitant prices. I blame it on the redneck's herd mentality. I had never used or handled a fish finder before purchasing it, so it took me a while to learn how to read. I've used it through ice at depths of 6 to 40 feet. I have gotten the most accurate results by working with two frequencies and in a telescope. The low frequency cone is very wide so you can see fish…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great first fish finder and good value for money

I got a Striker Plus for hard saltwater fishing in the Caribbean on a 28ft outboard fiberglass canoe because I knew I was going to buy one for it Version with chip and upgrade to a more powerful Xducer would have to be in deep water. Very comfortable, just play in simulator mode for a couple of hours and adjust the settings. I didn't like how everything seemed geared towards freshwater kayak bass fishermen, even the simulation didn't extend 50 feet or so. The Xducer easily attaches to a double…
