Use for Moto Adventure

Garmin software is terrible. It's amazing how many different applications it takes to use Montana. The hardware is great, and once you get used to all of the software, Montana will work efficiently. But Garmin should be ashamed of their software. I have 3 different Garmin apps on my phone and 4 on my laptop. So, yes, it works, but it's too time-consuming to learn and too complicated for a product from a company that only makes GPS.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Expensive, hard, mda.

This GPS has a very large screen that is easily visible in direct light. However, this thing is HEAVY and does not stand still. The AMPS mount hangs on the RAM balls even after you use tools to crush the plastic balls. This item should come with a $700 mount. A lot of little features that were standard on other GPS units of the past are gone, like the ability to change track color and thickness on the fly, something we color blind NEED. to see where the trail is. Online help is ok.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not sure

Very bad product - GPS, finder and accessories

I am amazed how bad this GPS really is. What were Garmin engineers thinking when designing this device? First, it uses the early 2000s Micro USB interface, this device is very slow, does not update even close to a smartphone, 2008 smartphones have much better performance. Garmin Express is extremely unreliable. Do Garmin engineers really test the products they use? As soon as my contract expires, I'll get rid of the thing, delete my account and look for an alternative device. Everything about…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Amazing product on portable gps

Got this for my upcoming off grid hike and am very pleased. I'm from Southeast Asia and this device is for North America but I was able to install Open Topo Maps for it without any problems. A little clunky, but multifunctional. I also have a Garmin Explorer+ and love both features, especially the inreach feature. FYI, make sure you only mount an SD card no larger than 32GB. I've tried mounting mine with 64GB and the maps I installed don't show up on my Montana. When I replaced it with a 32GB…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • So so

First, second, third impression

First of all, there is an iPhone mark on the box. So far it has been pointless. I have a Samsung Note 10+ that seems to be fully functional with the 750i. I need a good, reliable, portable GPS for work and play. I still hope Garmin releases a handheld GPS that works as advertised. The 680t is a random product with obvious flaws that Garmin ignores. Perhaps both Garmin engineers are busy for hours. I find it absurd that the 750i doesn't have USB3, it's still limited to 32GB of external storage…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

It will cost you, but it's worth it.

Okay, this headline is a little 'exciting' just because you have to be the one to decide if it's really worth it, but let's talk a little bit about it. Especially with such an expensive item, I wouldn't dare not do my homework and read as many reviews and articles as possible. Damn, I'm doing it with a hundred dollar item. If you really care about GPS devices, it won't take you as long as it did to decide what you need or what you're willing to pay for. If you're a beginner, I'll definitely…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Dear

Do not buy if using a Mac for updates

Bought in October and I use a Mac and Connect software for updates. An update attempt from a Mac is not possible. It religiously stops at 50% of downloads and then shuts down. This was the case all the time and after consulting Garmin I sent the device back to be exchanged. A new device has arrived and the Connect software has not YET updated my device. Garmin has been aware of this issue since October and still has NOT found a solution. I've recently been told that others are having the same…
