Accurate and informative

I am very happy with this scale and appreciate being able to track more than my total weight. Plus, tracking more than one person is a definite plus.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Expensive smoke and mirrors

Completely inaccurate. Skeletal body mass and body fat percentage are just fancy mirrors and smoke. Complete junk and so expensive. However, it blends in with the rest of the Garmin environment, so it automatically records weight. Not worth the money.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

all GPS, finder and accessory data

% body fat seems wrong if you are used to using athlete mode on other scales but hopefully it will be fixed with an update or something. Otherwise, this scale has all the metrics you need and maybe a few you need to learn how to use. Works flawlessly in the Garmin environment.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

The calculation of the body fat percentage is wrong. If you care, don't buy.

If you are looking for accurate body fat or BMI data in addition to weight, this scale will be very inaccurate. There is a lot of discussion on the Garmin forums about accuracy. For me personally, it more than doubled my body fat compared to other tests. As a 2:31 sport marathoner, I'm confident that my 5-8% readings from other devices are more accurate than the 18-20% I get from the Index S2. So now I have a very expensive scale that measures my weight. I have to ignore other erroneousโ€ฆ

Difficult to wake up or switch users SOLVED

The scale works quite well and the WiFi works fine. We had many failed attempts to switch users and sent the wrong person's weight to the wrong user. One page says "Tap" to switch between users. It rarely worked. If a user who is not on the scale has the wrong initials, simply dismount, quickly bend over and place your finger under the scale, lifting it slightly off the ground about 1mm, and release fall back on the scales. Earth. By doing this in quick succession you can switch between usersโ€ฆ

  • Not bad, but...

If you like Garmin, no problem

I love this scale. It's really easy to set up and after that you don't even have to think much about it. I just step on it when I wake up in the morning and get on with my day. All data is displayed as if by magic in the Garmin Connect app. This is great if you already use other Garmin products like watches. I recently received a good fitness watch from another brand as a gift. I use this watch, but I still use the Garmin Connect app to see the weight and other metrics from the scale. There are

Functional, thoughtful design

I'm glad I finally switched to a smart scale. There are several, but I chose Garmin because I'm already connected to the Garmin Connect ecosystem, so it instantly syncs and stores all my data. Makes the training more informative. One downside is that while these scales include carpet feet, they just don't work well on carpets. If this is your plan, you'll need a stable, hard surface to place over the carpet and under the scale. Luckily I have a spare bathroom that I don't use often so I justโ€ฆ
