Gates K060866 Micro V Belt Review

Looks good initially but started to sound after a few weeks which means it's not the perfect size or perfect material, it's just not good enough. !

can not beat the gate. I put it on my 2004 Ranger 4.0L with no problems, fits well but had to unscrew the tensioner all the way but that's fine. NO SPISTA

6PK2201 Perfect match for my 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The tensioner and idler pulleys were also replaced with Gates products. The belt failed prematurely due to wear on the tensioner. I also cleaned all the remaining pulleys of rubber debris.

Gates makes the best belts. I went from an extremely annoying victory sound to absolute silence. It's actually weird not hearing the belt squeak, but I like it. From being ashamed of driving my pickup, I became proud to drive it. It was very easy to install. Slightly larger than the old belt but the tensioner took up the slack and works great.

This strap fits my 2001 Explorer XLT 4.0 SOHC. It worked fine when I installed it, but the next morning it squeaked a bit. Over time, the creaking only got worse. I recently installed the GOODYEAR GATORBACK BELT P/N 4060865 and found that the belt is a bit longer and the design really muffles any belt noise. The Gates belt is not bad, the quality is decent. just didn't work well for my application.

Have read many good reviews about the Gates brand before and received a free belt wear tool from the company. Let the belt hang overnight to loosen the creases. I installed it this morning. After I removed the old belt, I noticed that the Gates belt was slightly larger than the old Gatorback belt that was on my truck.
