Forget about Dayco belts for your 1990 Dodge Ram. they creak after 3 months. This belt, in combination with Gates pulleys and tensioners, ensures a smooth ride in all weather conditions. I recommend.

The Gates website matched the VIN of my 92 Dodge Dakota (V8 with A/C) to this belt. It will only fit when the tensioner is FULLY retracted. Pass the belt, leaving the plain pulley last, then slide the belt over it and loosen the tensioner. Helps rotate the test belt before starting the engine. Very satisfied, the previous belt was a size larger.

I will change this belt together with the belt tensioner at the end of December 2020. The strap fitted well, but just ten months later, in September 2021, I had to replace it. I changed the oil today and found the belt has snapped horribly and needs to be replaced ASAP. See attached photo.
